"Judaism continues to evolve, and so must we. In today's ever complex world, our synagogue is a place where The Divine, truth, justice, compassion and community intersect and propagate. Our history guides us. Our future calls us. Our shared commitment to Congregation Rodef Sholom unites us in creating a sacred home for worship, learning and transformational engagement—for us and future generations."

Dear Friends,

Congregation Rodef Sholom is our kehilla kedosha, a sacred community that welcomes all with open arms, and open minds and open hearts. Established as the first Jewish congregation in Marin County in 1956, we have grown beyond our founder's wildest dreams in size, spirit and purpose.

Today, we are a lifelong spiritual home for our members and a community actively expressing its commitment to freedom, justice and loving kindness. Bound together by deep and caring relationships, we share the seasons and cycles of life.

We also engage in acts of tikkun olam, close to home and around the world. We are grateful for our generous and visionary founders who gave us sacred spaces where we can gather, and for rooting us so strongly in love and tradition. Today, we are called upon to carry forth their work – as we are taught, l'dor vador, from generation to generation.

As co-chair of the "Campaign for Rodef Sholom," I am honored to invite you to join us on this profound and sacred journey to perpetuate and strengthen our values and our heritage. I also want to give profound thanks to my former co-chair Martin Brotman, of blessed memory. Martin led with wisdom and from the heart. The work we do together is a lasting tribute to his vision that has helped make our dream a reality.

Building from strength to strength, we will together respond to the imperatives and opportunities of our time, and invest in the promise of our future.

L'shalom
